Terms of sale

These terms apply when you use drawnreal.co.uk (“Drawn Real”, “we”, “us”) and when you order a personalised print or digital download from us. Please read them before you buy. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

1. Who we are

Drawn Real is a small UK business that turns photographs of children's drawings into finished artwork. Trading name: Drawn Real. Email: hello@drawnreal.co.uk. Postal address: TODO: postal address, London, United Kingdom. You can also reach us by replying to any email we send you.

2. What you are buying

Each product is made to order from the drawing you upload and the details you give us:

• Framed A4 side-by-side, £39. Museum-quality print, black wooden frame with a white mount, ready to hang. A4 landscape.
• Framed A3 side-by-side, £59. Museum-quality print, black wooden frame with a white mount, ready to hang. A3 landscape.
• Grandparent second copy, £35. Same size as your main print, sent to the same address so you can hand it over yourself.
• Digital download, £15. A high-resolution file without the watermark, emailed to you once we have checked it.

Framed prints show your child's original drawing on the left and the made-real version on the right, with a plaque carrying the title, first name and age you entered. Prices include VAT where applicable and UK delivery for framed prints. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay.

3. How an order works

• You upload a photo of the drawing, tell us about it, and choose a style. Your first preview is free and is watermarked.
• When you buy, you choose one of the previews you have made. That exact picture is what we print or send.
• Payment is taken at checkout by Shopify. Your contract with us is formed when we email your order confirmation.
• A person checks every picture before it goes to print. If we think it does not do the drawing justice, we may make a fresh version in the same style, or contact you.
• Framed prints are printed and framed by our UK print partner and usually dispatched within 3 to 5 working days of approval. Digital downloads are emailed after approval, usually within one working day.

4. Personalised goods and the right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days to cancel an online order. That right does not apply to goods made to your specification or clearly personalised, and it does not apply to digital content once you have asked us to deliver it. Every Drawn Real product is made from your child's drawing and carries their name, so orders cannot be cancelled or returned once we have started work, which happens when a person approves your picture. If you change your mind before then, reply to your order confirmation straight away and we will do our best to stop it.

By placing an order you acknowledge that the product is personalised, that you asked us to begin work without delay, and that you lose the right to cancel once work has started.

5. Faulty or damaged goods

Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected. If your print arrives damaged, is printed incorrectly, or is not of satisfactory quality, tell us within 30 days with a photo and we will replace it or refund you in full, including any delivery cost. If a digital file is faulty we will supply a corrected file or refund you.

Please note that the made-real picture is an artistic interpretation of the drawing. Small differences in colour between your screen and the print, and the fact that the picture is generated rather than painted by hand, are not faults.

6. Your drawing and other people's characters

You confirm that you are the parent or guardian of the child who made the drawing, or have their parent's permission, and that you are entitled to have it reproduced. You keep all rights in the drawing. You give us a licence to store, process and reproduce it only to make and deliver your order.

If a drawing depicts a character, logo or brand owned by someone else (for example a film or television character), you are responsible for making sure the reproduction is allowed. We may decline any order we believe would infringe someone else's rights, and we will refund it in full.

We will not make pictures that are unlawful, hateful, or unsuitable for a product aimed at children, and we may refuse an order on those grounds with a full refund.

7. Delivery

Framed prints are sent by tracked courier to the UK address you give at checkout. Delivery times are estimates. Around Christmas we publish a last order date on the site; orders placed after it may arrive after Christmas. Please check your address carefully, as we cannot recover a parcel sent to a wrong address you supplied.

8. Our liability

We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms or our negligence. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

9. Complaints and the law

If something is wrong, email hello@drawnreal.co.uk or reply to any of our emails and we will sort it out. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and you can bring proceedings in the English courts, or in the courts of Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there. You can also use the EU online dispute resolution platform where it applies.
